But they’re ugly... and nearly the entirety of the ownership group are Nissan Execs.

After seeing the latest GM twins, suddenly the Tit an doesn’t look that bad.

Hot take:  All full size pickups are ugly.  Buy the one that is priced the best and has the most convenient dealership or the best warranty.

It’s like three different trucks smashed into one. The bed, middle, and engine area are all different styles lol. I bet money that front end is wider than the back

I like the Titan because it’s basically a 5/8ths ton truck. Plus they’re arguably more reliable than most full sizes these days (so I’ve heard).

I bought the fastest crew cab I was willing to pay for .

It ended up being a 2005 Titan. It is 40hp weaker than an equivalent Ram, but gets to 60 quicker in magazine tests and feels faster on the road.

I thought Nissans would be reliable, too.  So, I looked up US News rankings.  They put the Titan last, partly for reliability.  They actually said, don’t buy this truck.  Wow.

Any reason why? Every Armada I’ve seen for sale has like 150-200k miles and looks good as new (for whatever that’s worth)...isn’t the Titan based on the Armada/Patrol?

US News and WR said :

The 2018 Nissan Titan finishes near the bottom of our full-size truck rankings. Although it has a smooth ride and good maneuverability, the Titan’s below-average predicted reliability rating [emphasis mine] and aged tech features make it tough to recommend...

... Unless you’re a die-hard Nissan fan, there aren’t many good reasons to buy the Titan over its competitors. Most rivals are similarly spacious and comfortable to drive, but they offer more standard features, higher-quality cabin materials, and a lower starting price. Top competitors like the Ford F-150 and Chevrolet Silverado also rate higher for predicted reliability. The biggest hiccup, however, relates to the Titan XD. The XD’s towing and hauling capacities are impressive for a light-duty truck, but they can’t compete with the heavy-duty models in this class – many of which are only slightly more expensive. It’s best to shop around before considering the Titan.

However, they did say it’s still a decent truck. It wasn’t last on the list; it was second to last. I got the Titan review mixed up with their one for the Tundra , which did come in last. They said:

You should not buy the Toyota Tundra.

That made my eyes go wide.

I didn’t dig into the reviews they used for their composite evaluations .
